The Kansas City Monarchs ink a new radio partnership with Audacy's KWOD-AM (The Bet KC), which will serve as the team's flagship station for the 2025 season. Under the agreement, The Bet KC will broadcast all of the Monarchs' away games, beginning Friday, May 16 at 7pm CT when the team faces off against division rivals, the Sioux City Explorers.

"The Monarchs' return to the 1660 AM frequency solidifies Audacy as the destination fans come to for everything Kansas City sports," said Roxanne Marati, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Kansas City. "We're excited for this new partnership, to collaborate with the team and provide fans exclusive coverage with the four-time league champions only on The Bet KC."

The team's 2025 roster features notable names, including three former Kansas City Royals: hitting coach Christian Colon, outfielder Jorge Bonifacio, and pitcher Jake Brentz.

"Baseball and the radio just go together, and we're thrilled to bring the full slate of Monarchs road games to 1660 The Bet for the upcoming season," said Monarchs Owner Mark Brandmeyer. "We're thrilled to partner with Audacy and are excited to showcase our team on their platforms all season long."

Returning to the broadcast booth is Carter Woodiel, who enters his third season as the Voice of the Monarchs. This year also marks Woodiel's eighth as a lead broadcaster in the American Association, with his 500th game milestone coming in May.
