Lawrence shared the news on Facebook, expressing appreciation for his time at the company and hinting at what's next.

"So very grateful to Kristin Cantrell and 7 Mountains Media for the amazing opportunity I've had as GM/Market Manager here in Parkersburg/Marietta," he wrote. "Kristin has created one of the most forward-thinking, technically savvy groups in the industry, with a singular vision of local, compelling content."

Reflecting on his return to where his career began, Lawrence added, "I got my start on the air here at WXIL many years ago, and I was honored to come back decades later to lead this wonderful team of people dedicated to serving the community."

His last day with the company will be Friday, May 16. While details of his next move have not been publicly announced, Lawrence noted he'll be joining "another great city for another truly iconic owner and company."

Lawrence joined Seven Mountains Media in May 2024 after serving as General Manager of the Radio Advertising Bureau's National Radio Talent System. He previously held executive roles at New South Radio and Saga Communications, where he was Corporate Vice President of Programming/Content. His four-decade career has spanned on-air and programming roles in major markets including Philadelphia, San Diego, and San Francisco.
