The 2025 International Women's Podcast Awards (IWPAs) has unveiled its list of nominees, marking a record-breaking year with entries from 35 countries across 10 categories. The awards continue to grow in global reach, highlighting the influence and inclusivity of women's voices in the podcasting world.

This year's awards will take place on Tuesday, June 17, at the BBC Radio Theatre in London, with a global livestream bringing together podcasters, audio professionals, and fans worldwide to celebrate excellence in audio storytelling. Now in its fifth year, the IWPAs are recognized for honoring exceptional "moments" of brilliance across a diverse range of podcast formats and styles.

Entries were submitted from countries including Senegal, Qatar, and the Philippines, showcasing a broad array of cultural perspectives and content. The judging panel, composed of international podcasting and audio professionals, praised the depth and quality of this year's submissions.

"We're incredibly proud to see the International Women's Podcast Awards continue to grow in scope and impact," said the IWPA team. "The creativity and talent displayed across these entries highlight the power of podcasting as a truly global medium."

The IWPA Bursary Fund-launched in 2022 and supported by BBC Sounds, Amazon Music, and Wondery-once again played a pivotal role in broadening access. More than a third of this year's entrants used the bursary for complimentary entry, reinforcing the importance of financial accessibility within the industry. Limited bursary tickets remain available for the live event, and attendees can now choose to gift tickets to others who may benefit from attending.

The awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions from all corners of the podcasting space, whether from independent producers or large audio teams. Categories span educational programming, storytelling, innovation, and more.

Tickets for the 2025 International Women's Podcast Awards are currently available through the IWPA website. For updates and further details, visit the official site or follow @IWPodcastAwards on social media.
