WHO-AM (NewsRadio 1040 WHO) in Des Moines, IA is launching a new weekend agricultural program, "We Speak Farm Saturday," airing Saturdays from 5-7am, beginning June 7. The new show is hosted by WHO-AM Farm Directors Bob Quinn and Duane Murley, with contributions from The Big Show producer Nathan Fischer and other members of WHO's farm department.

The program is designed to extend the weekday agricultural coverage of The Big Show into the weekend with timely and relevant content for Iowa's early-morning farm community.

"Our farm listeners are working early Saturday morning, just like every other weekday," said Quinn. "So, we will provide the same solid farm information they are used to on other days of the week."

We Speak Farm Saturday will feature a market recap, the USDA's weekly Agriculture USA segment, and in-depth discussions on Iowa farming, agronomy, and food production. It will also broaden its scope to include weekend topics such as gardening, farmers markets, rodeos, and county fairs.

Cole Bair, Program Director at WHO-AM, emphasized the station's commitment to Iowa's agriculture community. "When farmers and Ag industry workers get in the truck, tractor or workplace on Saturday, it's only right we're there with them, too," he said. "We're proud to expand our Ag programming with the launch of We Speak Farm Saturday."
