BFOA Sets June 24 for Annual Giving Day Campaign

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has announced that its annual BFOA Giving Day will take place on Tuesday, June 24. The campaign is dedicated to raising funds to support radio and television professionals facing serious financial hardship due to critical illness or natural disaster.

In addition to generating much-needed donations, Giving Day also aims to raise awareness of the Foundation's mission, encouraging eligible broadcasters to apply for aid if needed.

"Please do not stand on the sidelines," said Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. "If you're part of the broadcasting community, while we hope you never need us, we need to be here for you should disaster or illness strike. The need for aid continues to grow each year, and I ask every broadcaster to consider a personal or corporate donation."

Scott Herman, Chair of the Broadcasters Foundation, emphasized that every contribution goes directly to those in need. "Whether an emergency grant due to a disaster or a monthly grant due to a long-term debilitating illness, the Broadcasters Foundation must always be there to give a hand-up to our colleagues in need," Herman said.

Radio and television professionals interested in contributing on Giving Day or applying for assistance can visit broadcastersfoundation.org. contact the Foundation directly at 212-373-8250 or info@thebfoa.org.
