HardDrive Celebrates Rock Legends and Summer Festivals

BruteHawke Industries, the media company co-founded by veteran rock radio personalities Lou Brutus and Randy Hawke, has unveiled an ambitious lineup of HardDrive Radio programming to celebrate key rock milestones and summer events. The content, distributed by United Stations Media Networks/Gemini XIII, will spotlight music legends and major festivals across the U.S.

The tribute begins June 30 on the nightly program HardDrive XL with Lou Brutus, dedicating an entire week to honoring Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Themed episodes will feature rock star guests -- including members of A Day to Remember, Architects, Five Finger Death Punch, Ghost, Halestorm, Billy Morrison, The Offspring, Shinedown, System of a Down, and Three Days Grace -- sharing reflections on the influence of Osbourne and Sabbath.

The weekend edition, HardDrive with Lou Brutus, will present exclusive and entirely different audio, with appearances by Avatar and additional tributes from Architects, Halestorm, and System of a Down. The shows will also include special cover versions of Sabbath and Ozzy classics.

"My very first concert was Black Sabbath at Madison Square Garden in New York City," said Lou Brutus. "They are the godfathers of Heavy Metal and a band which has always been close to my heart. We have been gathering content for months for this bittersweet moment in music history as our heroes pass into the void."

Next, HardDrive Radio heads to Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, where Brutus returns as stage host from July 17-19. Broadcasts during that week will include interviews with a wide range of performers from the lineup, including Architects, The Funeral Portrait, In This Moment, Nothing More, Three Days Grace, We Came as Romans, Tim Montana, and Rob Zombie.

"HardDrive Radio and Rock Fest have been Rock N Roll blood brothers over the last decade," said Randy Hawke, Programming and Content Director at BruteHawke. "It is hard to put into words how much our relationship with the festival and its promoter Wade Asher means to us. Plus, he's fun to drink with when the fest is over and the work is done!"

Brutus will then head west for the first time to the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. On August 5, he will host Disturbed as they perform at the Full Throttle Saloon during the 85th edition of the world-famous biker event.

"It has always been a dream to attend the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally," Brutus shared. "The fact that I'll be there to host Disturbed, one of the greatest bands in history, at The Full Throttle Saloon, one of the craziest venues on the planet, is almost too much for my miniscule brain to comprehend."
