Audacy's 1080 The Fan Expands to FM Dial in Portland

Audacy is expanding the reach of Sports KFXX-AM (1080 The Fan) to the FM dial, launching simulcast broadcasts on 105.1 FM beginning Monday, July 21. This displaces AC KRSK-FM (Bella 105). In conjunction with the expansion, longtime station host and Oregon native Dusty Harrah is elevated to Brand Manager. Harrah takes over from Jeff Austin, who recently retired.

A fixture at The Fan since 2009, Harrah has held nearly every position at the station - from board operator to sideline reporter and show host - and currently serves as the sideline reporter for University of Oregon football broadcasts.

"We're incredibly excited to bring The FAN to the FM dial," said Ryan Cooley, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Portland. "This move is long overdue and all about delivering a better listening experience for our audience with clearer sound and great content our fans know and love. For the first time in our history, our entire primetime on-air lineup will be 100% local and led by our new Brand Manager, Dusty Harrah."

As the new 105.1 The Fan launches, the station is also debuting a revamped weekday programming schedule that features local voices across all daytime slots. New to the lineup is "The Firm of Harris and Marang," airing from 10am-1pm PT and hosted by Patrick Harris and Danny Marang.

Other changes include: "Dirt and Sprague" expanding to 6-10am, "Duck Insider with Joey Mac" from 1-2pm, "The Fan Happy Hour with Luke Andersen" from 2-3pm, "Primetime with Isaac and Suke" from 3-7pm, and "The Recruiting Show with Andrew Nemec" Thursdays from 7-8pm. ESPN Radio will fill overnight programming from 10pm-6am.

The Fan remains the flagship home for University of Oregon Ducks football, basketball, and baseball, and the FM simulcast is expected to further strengthen the station's market presence in Portland and surrounding communities.
