Syndicated prank call show Carmen's Calls, hosted by Raul "Rico" Colindres, is celebrating 20 years on the air and marking the milestone with a return to two of its early markets: Los Angeles and Phoenix. Through its syndication partner, Skyview Networks, the program has been added to KDAY-FM in Los Angeles and KZCE-FM (101.1 The Bounce) in Phoenix.
"I'm beyond grateful to be celebrating this milestone and the return of Carmen's Calls to the airwaves in LA and Phoenix," said Colindres. "Cheers to our affiliates and PDs that believed in the benchmark - here's to 20 more years."
Pio Ferro, SVP of Programming and Content for Meruelo Media, which operates KDAY, said the show is a natural fit for the station. "Carmen is funny, entertaining, and brings exactly the kind of energy that resonates with our listeners," he said.
Skyview Networks President and CEO Steve Jones added, "Next time you are driving in Los Angeles or Phoenix, don't be surprised if the person in the next car is laughing hysterically. That's what happens when Carmen's Calls is on the radio," Jones said. "Rico Colindres turns everyday scenarios into appointment listening. Here's to another 20 years of Carmen making each day better."
Carmen's Calls airs weekdays and is available for CHR, Rhythmic, Hip-Hop, and Urban formats.
