The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has announced the national winners of the 2025 Edward R. Murrow Awards, honoring outstanding broadcast and digital journalism. The awards will be presented at the Edward R. Murrow Awards Gala on October 13 at Gotham Hall in New York City.

In Network Radio, NPR claimed multiple honors, including Breaking News Coverage for Live Coverage of the July 13 Trump Assassination Attempt, Excellence in Innovation for the NPR Student Podcast Challenge: The Monsters We Create, Excellence in Writing for A town marked the past and solved a murder, and Overall Excellence for ABC News Radio. Marketplace was recognized for Continuing Coverage of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, while Radio Free Asia earned Digital and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion awards.

Other winners included Girl v. Horse from 30 for 30 Podcasts for Excellence in Sound, Escaping Putin's War Machine from Reveal and The Associated Press for Feature Reporting, ABC News for Hard News and Sports Reporting, and CBC for News Documentary, News Series, and Newscast.

In Large Market Radio, KMOX in St. Louis won Breaking News for coverage of flash flooding, while WSB Radio in Atlanta took Continuing Coverage honors for The Murder of Laken Riley. WHYY News in Philadelphia received the Digital award, and Mountain West News Bureau in Boise, Idaho earned the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award. Other notable winners included WBUR in Boston for Excellence in Sound and News Documentary, KUER in Salt Lake City for Excellence in Writing, and WUSF News in Tampa for Overall Excellence.

In Small Market Radio, Connecticut Public in Hartford took home both Breaking News and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion awards, while WWNC-AM in Asheville was honored for Continuing Coverage of the Great Flood of 2024. WITF in Harrisburg won for Digital, and Vermont Public in Colchester received the Innovation award. Other winners included CBC Atlantic for Excellence in Sound, KNAU Arizona Public Radio for Excellence in Writing, NHPR for Feature Reporting and News Documentary, and BPR in Asheville for Overall Excellence with Hell or High Water: Hurricane Helene coverage.
