iHeartMedia Washington, DC has named Lisa Berigan as the new midday host on WBIG (BIG100), effective immediately. Berigan will be heard weekdays from 10am-3pm on the Classic Rock outlet. She will report to Dustin Matthews, Director of Rock Programming for iHeartMedia DC.
In announcing the appointment, Matthews praised Berigan's longstanding connection to Washington-area listeners.
"No one connects with the DMV like Lisa Berigan," Matthews said. "Her passion for this music, authentic storytelling and deep connection with listeners have made her a trusted companion for Washington audiences for years. Whether she's sharing the stories behind the greatest music ever made or supporting local causes throughout the community, Lisa's connection to the market is genuine. Welcome home, Lisa!"
Berigan returns to the same midday slot she previously held on BIG100 through October, 2024. In addition to her new role, she will continue to be heard on iHeartMedia's Washington stations 97.1 WASH-FM and 98.7 WMZQ. Her radio career also includes stops at Z104 (WWZZ) in Washington and WPLY in Philadelphia.
"Coming back to BIG 100 truly feels like coming home," Berigan said. "I'm excited to reconnect with listeners and be part of something that has always meant so much to me."
