Cumulus Media announced that longtime Columbia radio personality "World Famous Johnny Green" will be recognized for his outstanding community leadership at the Columbia Branch NAACP's 38th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Gala. The event takes place Friday, September 26 at 7pm at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Green, a fixture on WLXC-FM (Kiss 103.1) is heard weekdays from 10am-3pm and hosts the "Saturday Night Juke Joint" on Saturday evenings. This year's gala carries the theme "Remembering the Legacy." The keynote address will be delivered by Rev. Nelson B.
