Mix 92.3 Hosts 26th Annual Sista Strut in Detroit

iHeartMedia's WMXD (Mix 92.3) Detroit will host the 26th annual Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, September 27, at Spirit Plaza in downtown Detroit. The event raises funds for Henry Ford Health's Game On Cancer initiative, which provides vital support services to breast cancer patients across Metro Detroit.
The walk celebrates survivors and honors those lost to the disease while promoting awareness of early detection and treatment. Organizers also aim to highlight the disproportionate impact breast cancer has on the Black community and encourage participants to use community resources for prevention and care.
Mix 92.3 Program Director and on-air host Cheron Sanders, known to listeners as "ya girl Cheron," will emcee the event. Sanders, a breast cancer survivor herself, emphasized the importance of support during treatment. "My hope is that our 26th annual Sista Strut event will truly make a difference in the lives of women battling this disease by providing essential services at no cost," she said.
Participants are encouraged to register online by Friday, September 26, at 5pm ET. All registrants will receive a custom event T-shirt.
