KTSA Radiothon Raises Record $165K for Jimenez Dinner

The spirit of giving filled the airwaves in San Antonio as News Talk 550 KTSA and its sister stations raised a record-breaking $165,601.55 during the 18th Annual KTSA Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner Radiothon. The total marks the largest amount ever collected for the event, which brings the community together each year to ensure no one goes hungry on Thanksgiving Day.

Proceeds will benefit the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner -- the nation's largest Thanksgiving gathering -- which began 46 years ago when restaurateur Raul Jimenez served a few hundred guests. Today, the beloved San Antonio tradition feeds more than 25,000 people downtown, including elderly residents, veterans, homeless individuals, and families in need.

"The support from News Talk 550 KTSA and its sister stations is a true blessing," said Patricia Jimenez, daughter of the founder and President of the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner. "They're more than partners -- they're family. Thanks to them and their amazing listeners, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised to ensure no one in need goes hungry on Thanksgiving Day. KTSA is both the giver and the gift."

Longtime KTSA host Trey Ware, who leads the annual radiothon, said, "It's such an honor to lead the KTSA Radiothon for the Jimenez Thanksgiving Meal. I love giving back to the community that has given so much to my family for 70 years. I love you San Antonio!"

The dinner relies entirely on donations and volunteers to prepare and serve thousands of meals each Thanksgiving. KTSA's enduring partnership with the Jimenez family continues to help sustain one of San Antonio's most cherished holiday traditions.
