Bonneville International appoints Jim Richmond as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for its Sacramento cluster, overseeing KYMX (Mix 96), KZZO (Now 100.5), KNCI (New Country 105.1), and KHTK (Sactown Sports 1140). Richmond moves into the role after serving the past five years as Director of Sales for Bonneville Seattle, where he led revenue efforts for KIRO-FM, Seattle Sports 710, KTTH, and MyNorthwest.com.
Richmond's career spans leadership posts in Seattle, Denver, and San Francisco, with previous tenures at CBS Radio, iHeartMedia, Audacy, and New Northwest Broadcasters. His broad experience across major markets gives him a well-rounded perspective on evolving media and digital strategies.
Bonneville President and COO Tanya Vea praised Richmond's promotion, citing his "excellent leadership" and the strong alignment between his experience and the company's Sacramento operations. "Jim has shown himself to be an excellent leader, and his background is the perfect fit," Vea said. "I'm confident he will build on the strengths of the market, developing both the business and the culture at Bonneville Sacramento."
Richmond added, "These stations have a meaningful connection to the community," he said. "I look forward to supporting our teams, expanding our digital presence, and serving listeners across every platform with purpose and innovation."
Richmond succeeds Val Maki, who previously managed both the San Francisco and Sacramento markets and will now focus on Connoisseur Media's Bay Area operations following Bonneville's recent sale of its San Francisco cluster.
