The Dallas Mavericks have signed a multi-year agreement with Audacy naming Sports KRLD-FM (105.3 The Fan) Dallas as the NBA franchise's official flagship radio station.
The new partnership will make Mavericks game broadcasts available to more than nine million listeners across North Texas, with additional distribution in outer markets through the Texas State Network.
"105.3 The Fan has built tremendous equity in the market with sports fans across North Texas, and we're excited to bring the Dallas Mavericks to the Audacy family," said Mavericks Chief Communications Officer Gina Miller. "This partnership is about giving Mavs fans more ways to connect with the team, from game broadcasts to weekly programming, while significantly expanding our reach across Texas."
Veteran sportscaster Chuck Cooperstein will return for his 22nd season as the radio voice of the Mavericks, handling play-by-play for all regular-season games. He will be joined by analyst Brian Dameris.
"This partnership is an amazing addition to everything we've built for our listeners," said Audacy Dallas Vice President of News/Talk/Sports and 105.3 The Fan's Gavin Spittle. "Serving as the proud, 100,000-watt home of the Dallas Mavericks is something we are truly excited about."
In addition to game broadcasts, the partnership will include weekly Mavericks programming on The Fan.
