iHeartPodcasts will launch "Big Kick Energy with Cameron Dicker and Timothy Tillman," a new weekly podcast bringing together Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker and Los Angeles Football Club midfielder Timothy Tillman. The series debuts Friday, September 11, with new episodes released each Friday on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms.
Designed for fans of both American football and soccer, "Big Kick Energy" will feature conversations and analysis covering the two sports and their surrounding cultures. Dicker and Tillman will discuss topics ranging from the mechanics and pressure of game-winning field goals and penalty kicks to major storylines from the sports world and the experiences of professional athletes.
"Soccer was the first sport I fell in love with growing up, and ultimately it's what led me to kicking and my career in the NFL," said Dicker. "This podcast gives me the opportunity to come full circle and share my true passion for the game of soccer."
Dicker, who grew up in Shanghai, China, brings his experience as an NFL kicker and longtime soccer fan to the program. He currently holds the highest career field-goal percentage in NFL history.
Tillman developed in Germany's youth soccer system, including time with Bayern Munich, before beginning his professional career in Germany and later joining LAFC in Major League Soccer.
"For me, soccer has always been about more than just what happens on the field," said Tillman. "That's what we want to bring to this podcast. Good vibes, real conversations, great guests, and a love for the game, while making soccer more accessible and fun for everyone."
Leo Gomez, Head of the iHeart Soccer Network, said the pairing brings together two young voices from two leagues and fan bases as soccer continues to grow in popularity.
"Big Kick Energy" is distributed by iHeartPodcasts. CAA, which represents Dicker, brokered the deal with iHeartMedia, while Tillman is represented by JS MGMT and MvK Sports.
