Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Jud Heussler Director of Operations for its Jacksonville radio group, overseeing programming strategy and daily operations for the company's eight-station portfolio. In his new role, Heussler will work with market leadership and on-air teams on audience growth, content development and execution across CMG Jacksonville's brands and platforms.

"Jud brings the right mix of programming judgment, operational discipline, and people-first leadership to this role," said CMG Jacksonville Radio Vice President and Market Manager Brian McGhee. "He knows how to strengthen local brands, support great talent, and build the kind of team that will help our stations connect with audiences, positively impact our communities, and deliver for advertisers."

During his career, Heussler has worked across programming, promotions, digital and operations, with an emphasis on developing station brands and aligning content with local audiences. CMG also cited his experience developing talent and building collaboration among programming teams.

"We have top-tier radio stations, talented people, and a real connection to this community," said Heussler. "I'm excited to work alongside our teams to keep evolving what we do and how we connect with our audiences while ensuring CMG Jacksonville continues to grow and win."

Heussler succeeds Jules Riley, who moved to CMG Atlanta Radio this summer as Director of Operations and Programming.
