Mike O'Brian Named PD 96.3 KKLZ/Las Vegas

Beasley Broadcast Las Vegas has announced the promotion of Mike O'Brian to Program Director for Greatest Hits 96.3 KKLZ-FM. O'Brian will continue his role as co-host of the station's popular "KKLZ Morning Show with Mike, Jim & Carla." The promotion is effective August 5th and he reports to Vice President and Market Manager Tom Humm and Vice President of Programming Justin Chase.

A veteran morning show on-air talent, O'Brian has been waking up Las Vegas listeners for nearly 30 years. He joined the KKLZ Morning show in 2007, but his career with Beasley Broadcast Las Vegas began five years earlier in 2003 as morning show host and ultimately program director of Star 102.7 KSTJ-FM. Originally from Indiana, Mike moved to Las Vegas in 1980, and with the exception of a brief hiatus from the market in the early '80s, has been working in Las Vegas radio and on-air in the mornings since 1986.

Corporate Vice President of Operations Brian Beasley comments, "It's a good day at the office when we can promote someone who has served previously as a program director and has a long tenure with Beasley. The fact that Mike is a respected and key voice for KKLZ and a genuine supporter of charitable causes in the Las Vegas community is an added and important bonus! We are wishing Mike all the best in his new role."

Adds Vice President and Market Manager Tom Humm, "I have worked with, competed against and listened to Mike for over thirty years. He cares about entertaining his listeners every day through great preparation and believes that serving our community is his number one goal. Mike leads by example with great enthusiasm and passion. His desire to achieve perfection makes him the perfect candidate to lead KKLZ and our outstanding staff."
