Phillips Buys KBEC/Waxahachie TX for $1.25 Million

Local businessman Jim Phillips has agreed to purchase Classic Country KBEC-AM (1390) licensed to Waxahachie, TX, for $1.25 million. The seller consists of three individuals: Jeanne Mosley, Sandra Howell and Ken Roberts. KBEC is a fulltime station broadcasting with 500 watts day and 260 watts night.
Neither the buyer nor the seller has other broadcast interests. Bill Whitley of the Dallas office of Media Services Group assisted the seller in the transaction.
