Tejas Broadcasting Sells Two Outlets in Amarillo

Grace Community Church of Amarillo has agreed to purchase 21.5kW Hot AC KBZD-FM (Fun 99.7) serving Amarillo, TX, from Tejas Broadcasting for $400,000. The buyer is headed by President Bill Gehm. The seller is headed by CEO James Anderson and has additional broadcast interests in Texas and New Mexico.
Additionally, Viva Media LLC has agreed to acquire 100kw Regional Mexican KQFX-FM (La Caliente 104.3) licensed to Borger, TX and serving the Amarillo market from Tejas Broadcasting for $650,000. The buyer is headed by Maria Ceniceros and has additional Texas broadcast interests.
Bill Whitley of the Dallas office and George Reed of the Jacksonville office of Media Services Group served as the brokers representing the seller.
