2018 Radio Show to Feature FCC Commissioner O'Rielly

FCC Commissioner Michael O'Rielly will headline a session titled "FCC Commissioner Michael O'Rielly Discusses Radio Policy" on Thursday, September 27 at the 2018 Radio Show in Orlando. O'Rielly will discuss his outlook on regulation of the radio industry and what licensees can expect in the near future. In particular, Commissioner O'Rielly will touch on media ownership regulations, pirate radio enforcement, spectrum policy and the importance of local service.

Fast approaching his five-year anniversary on the Commission, O'Rielly has been an advocate for reducing unnecessary regulations and increasing government transparency. Prior to his tenure at the FCC, Commissioner O'Rielly served in various capacities as a staff member in both the House of Representatives and the Senate for nearly 20 years.

The Radio Show is produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and is held September 25-28 in Orlando.
