Aurora Media to Acquire Three in Escanaba MI for $400K

Aurora Media has agreed to acquire three stations in Escanaba, MI, from KMB Broadcasting for $400,000. Included in the deal are 100kW Country WYKX-FM (104.7), 6kW Nostalgia WDBC-AM (680) and 250W W233CT-FM (94.5). Aurora will began operating the outlets under a LMA on January 1. Escanaba is a port city in Delta County in Michigan, located on Little Bay de Noc in the state's Upper Peninsula. The seller, KMB Broadcasting is headed by Jim and Betsy Cooke and owns no other stations. The buyer, Aurora Media is headed by Todd Mohr.
Jason James of Patrick Communications brokered the transaction.
