After reviewing over 200 candidate packages during a nationwide search, WQDR 94-7QDR/Raleigh has named Sean Cash (Sean Varicalli) as their new midday host (10am-3pm weekdays) effective August 10. Cash comes via WYCD and WOMC (CBS) Detroit and WJIM 97.5 NOW FM (Townsquare) Lansing Michigan.

CMG VP of programming and QDR Station Manager Lisa McKay said, "I was looking for unique set of characteristics for this position including both a focused and playful on air sound, someone with a strong moral compass, good digital and video storytelling skills and someone who will treat our QDR listeners like they are family. Sean fit the bill perfectly! Now all he has to do is make the right ACC team choice!"

"I can't wait to get to NC where the weather is beautiful and start making a difference on the legendary QDR Team," said Cash.
