"Cliff's hard work and dedication to iHeartMedia Augusta has earned him this opportunity," said Ivy Elam, Market President, iHeartMedia Augusta. "I am thrilled and excited to have him lead our efforts with WBBQ, the most heritage station in Augusta. I am confident that Cliff will continue to advance WBBQ to even greater success."
"It's not every day you find someone with the passion and skill set that Cliff has for our industry and market," said Jay Cruze, Senior Vice President of Programming, iHeartMedia Augusta. "He's one of the most talented people I've had the pleasure of working with and can't wait to see how he continues the success WBBQ has seen over the last three quarters of a century. We are going to learn a lot together."
"It was already an honor to be associated with a station that's enjoyed almost 70 years of influencing musical trends, a station that I grew up in the area listening to," said Bennett. "And now, to be on the air of one of the longest running stations in the country... well, it's a dream come true."
