Cumulus Media appoints 25-year radio veteran Jason Kidd as afternoon personality for Hot AC WRQX-FM (Mix 107.3)/Washington, DC. He debuts on Mix Monday, February 15 from 3-7pm. Kidd joins Cumulus from New Generation Radio in Washington, DC, where he served as President and Advisor/Brand Developer. His career includes a decade at CBS Radio, most recently at crosstown WPGC-FM. Prior to that, he programmed CBS' WQSR-FM/Baltimore, WWMX-FM/Baltimore and KQBT-FM/Austin.
Program Director Louie Diaz said, "Jason Kidd is an incredible talent and brings "Stationality" to MIX 107.3 in afternoon drive. We are thrilled to have him driving our listeners home in Washington, DC."
Kidd added, "I just couldn't stay away. It is so great to be back in the Nation's Capital. I grew up with this frequency, along with the Jack Diamond Morning Show. It is so exciting to be a part of such an iconic brand and an honor to join the list of so many great talents who have graced the airwaves on 107.3 over the years. I want to thank Market Manager, Jake McCann, Program Director, Louie Diaz, and Mike McVay, Cumulus' SVP Content and Programming for this awesome opportunity."
Before joining CBS Radio, Kidd spent five years with Clear Channel programming WKST/Pittsburgh and WWHT/Syracuse. He also worked at SiriusXM for six and a half years.
