WHPT-FM/Tampa Adds Ian Beckles to Weekends

Cox Media Group (CMG) Talk WHPT-FM (102.5 The Bone) Tampa adds long-time veteran talk personality Ian Beckles to the airwaves beginning Sunday, August 7 from 11am-1pm. Beckles will add sports commentary and bring his blend of pop-culture talk to the station. Beckles, previously of crosstown Sports/Talk WDAE-AM, has been off of the airwaves in Tampa since 2015.

"At The Bone, we have the luxury to cover every possible topic throughout the week, from Politics and news, to pop-culture, entertainment, and sports," said CMG Tampa Director of Branding and Programming John Brennan. "Ian Beckles is one of the best sports talkers out there, and he brings with him credible sports analysis, with the talent to cover all the other topics. He is a perfect fit, and I'm very excited to work with him."

"I'm honored to join the Team at 102.5 The Bone," added Beckles. "Sharing the airwaves with Mike Calta and Drew Garabo is gonna be cool."
