iHM Honolulu unveils the new lineup on KUBT-FM (93.9 The Beat) Honolulu. Sam The Man and Hawaiian Ryan (pictured) will air in mornings from 6-10am. They join The Beat from crosstown rival CHR KDDB-FM (102.7 Da Bomb). It's a homecoming as Sam and Ryan both started their radio careers at 93.9 FM back in the 1990's as teenagers when the station was known as I94.
Handling middays (10am-2pm) is former crosstown CHR KPHW-FM (Power 104.3) air talent Romeo Valentine. He's also the new Digital PD for iHM's Honolulu cluster. Coming in for afternoons (2-7pm) from sister CHR KYLD-FM in San Francisco is Ray Styles. Taking over nights (7-11pm) is Julian Lee (aka The Night Ninja). His previous stops included WBBM (B96)/Chicago, KZZP/Phoenix and KYLD (Wild 94.9)/San Francisco.
"Talk about a dream team lineup perfect for Honolulu," said iHeartMedia Honolulu Senior VP/Programming Jamie Hyatt. "I've been a fan of Sam & Ryan from afar for years so I'm super excited to finally get the chance to work with these extremely talented guys. The rest of our team on The Beat is solid too. Romeo, Ray and the Night Ninja are perfect to keep the party going all day and all night on the all-new 93.9 The Beat."
