Univision announces that Primer Impacto's Jackie Guerrido will host "El Jangueo," a new afternoon show on WRTO-FM (Mix 98.3) Chicago, starting July 17. Guerrido will air weekdays from 3-7pm. Born in Puerto Rico, Guerrido is no stranger to radio. She launched her radio career in New York as part of "El Vacilon de la Manana" and later settled in Miami where she joined HBC Radio. Guerrido will be joined by Tony Banana and sidekick "El Primo."
"We look forward to the addition of the very talented Jackie Guerrido to Mix 98.3 FM. Our listeners will be thrilled when they experience this unique pairing of the best curated music in the market featured on Mix 98.3 with Jackie's star power and charm," said Senior VP/GM Claudia Puig.
Guerrido exited radio to become the lead meteorologist on Univision's "Al Amanecer de Noticias 23" (Morning News at Channel 23) and "Despierta America" (Wake Up America). Currently, she is and will continue to be the lead meteorologist of Univision's newsmagazine "Primer Impacto" (First Impact), for which she also serves as guest host.
