Entercom Charlotte inks a multi-year agreement with veteran afternoon host John Hancock who was recently inducted to the WBT Hall of Fame. The "John Hancock" show will continue to air on News/Talk WBT (News 1110 AM and 99.3 FM) from 3-6pm. Hancock began his career at WBT in 1990. Over the 27-year run, he's been heard during almost every shift. Earlier this year, Hancock was inducted to the WBT Hall of Fame and carries the distinction as the only Hall of Fame Member who is still actively broadcasting.

"John represents one of the most unique radio personalities in America today" said Entercom Charlotte VP/Market Manager Matt Hanlon. "He's a WBT Hall of Famer and still delivers a contemporary message every day that the listeners can count on."

"This contract pretty much guarantees I'll retire at WBT," added Hancock. "I couldn't be more excited to continue my 27 year run, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the new Entercom that is emerging from the CBS merger. Special thanks to the people of Charlotte who have allowed me so much success. I am proud to be part of the 95 year old legacy of 'The Great Colossus of the South', WBT."
