A rollover crash has claimed the life of Rhythmic CHR WPYO-FM (Power 95.3)/Orlando air personality Erika Roman (aka Chula). Troopers said Roman swerved to avoid a boat lounge chair on Florida's Turnpike. When she overcorrected, her car flipped several times before coming to a rest upside down in a deep canal.
A truck driver, Christopher Johnson, saw the accident and stopped to help. He and an FHP Trooper tried to break the window, before hooking the car up to chains and pulling it out. The Trooper performed CPR but was unable to revive her.
Roman was a co-host and producer at Power 95.3, working on the "Lil Shawn and Obie Morning Show."
