WDYL/Richmond Changes Dial Position, Ups Power

Alternative WDYL-FM (Y101)/Richmond, VA, said Tuesday that its frequency has officially changed from 101.1 FM to 100.9 FM. The new dial position is in conjunction with the transition to a new tower. The new tower provides a boost in Y101's power by more than 4 times, or to 15kw. The station is also now transmitting in full HD Radio.

Y101's format and programming is remaining the same. The line-up includes syndicated morning host Bubba The Love Sponge (6-10am), Angie (10am-2pm), The Sludge Nation (2-6pm) and Twitch (6-11pm).

"We are very excited to increase our signal strength for the Richmond area" said VP/Market Manager Bob Willoughby. "The new tower and frequency will allow us to better serve our local community."
