College-run KUCI-FM airing from the University of California at Irvine will broadcast "Greek Songfest" for the first time. The 30-year tradition will air live with assistance from local start up RadioFlag, who will provide technology to deliver streams to listeners through their new app. Currently available on the web, the app supports both Android and iPhone, including the iPad and iPod Touch.
Participating students along with attendees, and those that cannot be in attendance, can listen and interact during the performance in real time. Eleven UCI fraternities and nine sororities are participating in this year's event -- which challenges students to work hard all year to support their beneficiary. Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is this year's selection.
