WPGC-FM/Washington Welcomes New Morning Host

CBS Radio's Rhythmic CHR WPGC-FM/Washington, DC, appoints Blaine "Pablo" Sato as its new weekday morning co-host. Pablo most recently worked in San Diego at XHTZ-FM (Jammin' Z90) as afternoon personality since 2010 and before that he worked as morning and midday host at KOHT/Tuscon in 2008. He joins Free, Guy Lambert and DJ Heat on Thursday, July 5 from 6-10am.
WPGC PD Jason Kidd said, "In one of the most diverse markets in the nation, we sought a host who could entertain this melting pot that is DC. Pablo is a great radio host. He and Free will put on a stand out show every morning in the highly competitive DC radio landscape. I can't wait for him to start!"
Pablo started his radio career in 1998 at KIKI-FM (Hot 93.9)/Honolulu as an air personality. In 2002, he became the Music Director and afternoon host at KFMS-FM/Las Vegas. Sato hosted the morning show at San Diego's XHTZ in 2005. In 2007, he returned to afternoons at KIKI and later, moved into the midday slot. Pablo worked as the morning and midday host in Tuscon at KOHT in 2008. Since 2010, he's handled afternoons at Z90.
"Working at such a legendary station as WPGC and surrounding myself with great talent has always been a goal for me," added Pablo. "To work with a team that includes amazing people who are at the top of their game such as Free, Guy Lambert and DJ Heat, how can you not be excited? I, for one, am the lucky one."
