Brian Long Named KOGO and KLSD/San Diego PD


Clear Channel/San Diego appoints 15-year industry vet Brian Long as Program Director for News/Talk KOGO-AM (AM 600) and KLSD-AM (XTRA Sports 1360), effective January 21. Previously, he served as PD of Bonneville Sports KIRO-AM (710 ESPN)/Seattle before becoming Senior Director of Programming. He also hosted "In The Zone" on Sports KSPN-AM (710 ESPN)/Los Angeles, where he was Assistant PD. Before Long joined KSPN in July, 2007, he was PD at KXPS-AM (The Team 1010), KFUT-AM and KNWZ-AM/Palm Springs, CA.

His career in spoken word formats began in his hometown of Kansas City at the heritage KMBZ. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 the Los Angeles Daily News recognized him as one of their "Top Ten Sports Radio Personalities."

"Brian will bring a diverse perspective from multiple markets and stations to our spoken word brands," said VP/Programming John Peake. "We're excited to add Brian's management and broadcasting experience to the San Diego programming team and are confident that KOGO and XTRA Sports will prosper under his tutelage."
