FOX Sports Debuts in San Diego on KLSD-AM 1360

Clear Channel/San Diego launches "XTRA 1360 FOX Sports San Diego" on Sports KLSD-AM. The new sports radio collaboration will bring local and nationally recognized sports talent to San Diego, beginning July 21. CCME says that 1360 AM will "super-serve" San Diego sports fans with coverage of sporting news and games. In addition, the station will be a San Diego Chargers broadcast partner, covering the team's pre-season and regular season games in addition to airing a Chargers Power Hour Show weekdays from 6-7pm.

The lineup will include nationally recognized sportscaster Steve Hartman as host of the "Loose Cannons Show" during afternoon drive with Mike Costa. Hartman's career in sports began at UCLA as a football color commentator for the Bruins. Following graduation, Hartman worked at KABC and then with the Los Angeles Raiders for four years as media relations/publications director before taking a position at KFOX Radio in 1989. A year later, he helped launch XTRA, the first all-sports radio station in southern California where he worked with Chet Forte and later Billy Werndl.

"I could not be more excited about returning to the city where my radio career started. So many great memories with many new experiences to come," said Hartman. "We have assembled a lineup second to none in San Diego and look forward to giving Charger fans a true radio home."

Fox Sports Network duo Dave Palet and Jeff Dotseth have been signed to host mornings. Palet is a 20-year TV and radio veteran who has worked for major networks. Dotseth is a San Diego native who began his radio career in 1991 and has since covered four Super Bowls, the World Series and Stanley Cup Finals.

"We've enjoyed a great relationship with XTRA Sports 1360 since last fall," added Senior VP/GM Henry S. Ford. "The changes announced today, more closely align our brands, and strengthens the partnership in so many ways."

KLSD's weekday programming lineup includes Dave & Jeff (6-9am), Jay Mohr Sports (9am-noon), The Dan Patrick Show (noon-2pm), Loose Cannons with Steve Hartman and Mike Costa (2-6pm), Chargers Power Hour with Judson Richards (6-7pm), XTRA at Night (7-8pm) and FOX Sports Tonight with Jason Smith (8-11pm).
