Cumulus Appoints Tom Schurr as SVP/Operations

Cumulus Media taps radio operations and management vet Tom Schurr to join its senior station operations team as Senior VP/Operations. Schurr will oversee station operations in multiple U.S. markets, including Dallas and Houston, with additional market responsibilities to be announced at a later date. Schurr was previously President of Operations for iHeartMedia with direct responsibility for all major market operations. While there, he managed markets including Houston and Dallas.

Schurr has also previously served as a regional operations executive over the South East and East Regions for iHeartMedia. Prior to that, he held VP/Market Manager posts in Houston and Louisville for Jacor Communications, and was VP/Market Manager for Citicasters in Sacramento.
