United Stations Radio Networks has announced that its syndicated Classic Hits radio program, "Scott Shannon Presents America'S Greatest Hits," has reached its 75th affiliate. The program, which is co-produced by USRN and CBS Radio and launched in November, 2014, has quickly become a popular program in the Classic Hits and Oldies formats. The show became the first weekend show in national distribution to be hosted by Shannon since the late 1980s.
The four-hour weekly program has become known for the storytelling ability of host Scott Shannon. "America's Greatest Hits" boasted a launch on CBS's nine Classic Hits radio outlets including KRTH-FM/Los Angeles, KLUV-FM/Dallas, WOGL-FM/Philadelphia and Shannon's flagship station, WCBS-FM/New York.
The most recent additions to the show's affiliate lineup include WOLX-FM/Madison, KKCL-FM/Lubbock, KEYF-FM-FM/Spokane and WHPY-FM/Nashville. It was the signing of WHPY, known locally as "Hippie Radio," that marked affiliate number 75.
