SRN News Partners with Townhall.com for Top-of-Hour

Salem Media Group is re-naming its top-of-hour news product, in a joint partnership with Townhall.com, the Salem-owned web outlet that reaches some three million unique visitors monthly. This will be a brand extension to the SRN News product that provides both News/Talk and Christian/Talk stations a 24/7 news service.

Salem will continue its SRN News feed at :55 past each hour, primarily for Christian stations. The top-of-the-hour broadcast will be designed for News/Talk stations and will carry the branding of Townhall.com. Salem has also landed the affiliation of the SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125 beginning on Monday, August 31.

"We will continue to offer the outstanding reporting that is a hallmark of SRN News with great anchors and respected correspondents like Greg Clugston at the White House, Linda Kenyon at the Senate and Wally Hindes at the House," said Salem Radio Network Senior VP Phil Boyce. "The new brand extension will allow us to better market the product for News and Talk stations, and we can't think of a better partner than Townhall.com which is so respected and well-known."

SiriusXM VP/General Manager, Talk Programming Dave Gorab commented, "SiriusXM Patriot is proud to be a gathering place for the top conservative voices and brands. The addition of hourly news updates from Townhall.com further solidifies that position."

More affiliates like KSEV-AM/Houston have also agreed to join this new top-of-hour product, which will now be made available to all News/Talk outlets.
