John Ulett Celebrates 40 Years at KSHE/St. Louis

KSHE-FM/St. Louis will celebrate John "U-Man" Ulett's 40th Anniversary on May 25 at the legendary rock station by kicking off a series of special on-air and online events. Affectionately known as "U-Man," John Ulett began his KSHE career in 1976 and is the station's longest, continuously broadcasting air talent.

Ulett is the recipient of several recognitions including the St. Louis Hall of Fame, RFT's Lifetime Achievement Award (2001), several from the Missouri Broadcasters Association (MBA), the Bishop DuBourg Wall of Fame; and has worked as the PA Announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals for 33 years and has been a cast member Cardinal Kids TV for 10 years.

To celebrate, Ulett and KSHE's morning show co-host, Lauren "Lern" Elwell, will broadcast LIVE from the site of KSHE's first professional office and studio located at 9434 Watson Road, Crestwood, MO (also known as the "cinder block building") on May 25, 2016 from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Special guests include long-time fellow KSHE broadcasters, Mark Klose and Joe "Mama" Mason.

"There is only one way that an air personality could stay at a music radio station for 40 years... the same format, stable ownership/management and getting up when the alarm clock goes off every morning. I thank our listeners for being there the whole time," said Ulett.

You can wish John a "Happy Anniversary" at KSHE95.com or KSHE's Facebook page.
