Alpha Media/Louisville Names JD Garfield as WDJX PD

Alpha Media/Louisville has named JD Garfield as Program Director of WDJX. JD will also host Afternoon Drive. The 20-year radio vet has spent most of his time in the Midwest. His career started in the Country format but he has since spent time in Rock, Alternative, Classic Rock, CHR, R/CHR and AC. Previously, he served as PD of WJQM in Madison, Wisconsin, and Operations Manager for KQRA and KOSP in Springfield, Missouri. JD comes to Alpha most recently from KWYD in Boise, Idaho.

Alpha Media VP of Programming, Phil Becker said, "I've been a fan of JD's brands for some time. I've enjoyed watching him in some very competitive radio battles and I look forward to fighting alongside him."

Alpha Media, Louisville SVP/Market Manager, Bill Gentry added, "We are pleased to attract someone with JD's experience and programming expertise to lead 99.7 DJX. Anticipate a fresh coat of paint on Louisville's top-rated, heritage CHR station!"
