Report: Pandora CEO Tim Westergren to Step Down
RADIO ONLINE | Monday, June 26, 2017 |
Pandora co-founder and CEO Tim Westergren will reportedly step down as the streaming music giant's leader, according to Recode. He's headed Pandora as CEO since 2016 and is likely to remain with company he co-founded 17 years ago until a replacement is named. Westergren took over from Brian McAndrews in the spring of 2016. Pandora, which has some 80 million users, has declined to comment.
Earlier this month, SiriusXM said it would invest $480 million in Pandora in exchange for a 19 percent stake and three board seats. That deal has yet to close and it's not clear how Westergren's exit would affect it.
