Cumulus Brings CHR Q103.1 FM to Columbus-Starkville

Cumulus Media announces that WNMQ-FM in Columbus-Starkville, MS, debuted today at 9:00am as "Q103.1 FM, The Golden Triangle's Hit Music." The new station, formerly known as 103.1 The Team, moved to a Top 40 music format and launched with 5,000 commercial-free songs in a row. WNMQ-FM previously aired a simulcast of CBS Sports with sister station WSSO-AM. CBS Sports will continue to air on WSSO-AM. The Bert Show will take over mornings on WNMQ starting on August 14. Q103.1 FM, The Golden Triangle's Hit Music, also premiered its new station website today at: www.myQ1031.com.

Pat Galloway, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-Columbus-Starkville, said, "The Columbus-Starkville area is home to the Mississippi Bulldogs, and it's only right that this community and the students of Mississippi State University have a Top 40 radio station playing the music they love so much. Millennials and Gen Z represent nearly half of the population here, and now they have their own station in the Golden Triangle. Q103.1 will fill a void in the market and will be an incredible addition to Columbus-Starkville radio!"

Chris Stryker, Director, Operations/Programming, Cumulus Media-Columbus-Starkville, said, "We are very excited to bring hit music to the Golden Triangle airwaves and to give our listeners something new and fun."
