Alpha Media Amarillo Adds 97.5 FM to KGNC-AM


Alpha Media News/Talk KGNC-AM Amarillo, TX, adds coverage on K248DE-FM at 97.5 mHz. KGNC will continue to serve listeners with its heritage format and 10kW on 710 AM. The station is now known as "Amarillo's News, Talk, Sports -- 710 AM and 97.5 FM KGNC." The station will continue to carry programming such as "The Agri-Business Hour with James Hunt" from 5-6am, "NewsDay Amarillo with Tim Butler, Kelli D'Angelo and Mike Hill" from 6-9am, "The Brian Kilmeade Show" from 9-11am, Rush Limbaugh from 11am-2pm and Dave Ramsey from 2-5pm.

KGNC will become Amarillo's home for Dallas Cowboys football beginning this season alongside their longstanding coverage of Texas Rangers baseball games. KGNC will also carry ESPN Radio programming starting at 5pm weekdays and over the weekends.

Market Manager Robert Mueller commented, "We are very excited to begin a new era for our listeners on KGNC. For the first time, radio listeners in Amarillo can enjoy their favorite KGNC-AM programs on FM at 97.5.
