KRKO-AM & FM Launches ''Everett's Greatest Hits''

KRKO-AM & FM/Everett, WA, flips to Classic Hits, with the slogan "Everett's Greatest Hits." The new station features artists and songs familiar to everyone who grew up listening to KRKO-AM, only now it can be heard on FM95.3 and online at KRKO.COM. Featured are groups such as The Eagles, The Beatles, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac along with continued coverage of the Everett Silvertips, Everett AquaSox and local prep sports.

"Most Radio stations around the country are owned by huge corporations whose decisions are made nationally, not locally. The change from National Fox Sports network programming to a music format, is custom designed to meet the musical appetites of local listeners, with a strong focus on information and activities of importance and interest in the greater Snohomish County area. Being locally owned allows us to make decisions that better serve the listeners and businesses in our community," stated General Manager Chuck Maylin.

The stations previously are FOX Sports Radio. It's now being consulted by longtime Oldies consultant Terry Patrick. KRKO-AM is one of the last locally-owned radio outlets in the north end of the Seattle metro.
