Cumulus Media/Detroit Director of FM Programming Robby Bridges has announced his departure after choosing not to renew his current deal. He plans to return to Providence to spend more time with family. Bridges came to Detroit in early 2014 to launch WDRQ's NASH Country format as Program Director. Prior to that, he programmed Cumulus stations WEBE/Bridgeport, CT WFAS/Westchester, NY and served as Assistant PD/air talent for WPLJ-FM/New York, while spending time with Dcott Shannon's True Oldies Channel.

In a Facebook post, Bridges wrote, "It is with many mixed emotions to share I have chosen not extend my agreement and will be leaving Detroit by the end of the year. Totally my choice, company has been terrific as I made the decision also."

Bridges added, "It's been an amazing 11-year ride with Cumulus that's given me incredible opportunities, found me lifelong friends and left me with unforgettable memories. None more so, than in the Motor City."
