Joel Weiss is named Assistant Program Director and Music Director of Alternative KCJK-FM (X105.1) and CHR KCHZ-FM (95-7 The Vibe)/Kansas City. He'll also serve as night host on KCJK-FM weeknights from 8pm-midnight. Weiss, previously served as MD at WBOS-FM (ALT 92.9) Boston. Before that, he spent 13 years as a Music Director and an air personality at WSUN-FM (97X) Tampa.

KCJK-FM and KCHZ-FM Program Director Mike O'Reilly said, "The timing of being able to integrate Joel into our X and Vibe brands is truly remarkable. It's not every day you find such a creative, talented programming vet with Joel's unique skill set and unanimous favor in the industry."

Weiss added, "From my first conversations with Mike McVay and Troy Hanson, through my visit to KC, this felt like a unique opportunity to work with amazing people. I'm so psyched to join the Cumulus family... and also to watch Patrick Mahomes play football every week this fall."

Cumulus Regional VP Midwest Region Donna Baker commented, "The talented programming teams led by Mike O'Reilly have grown both of these important brands exponentially in Kansas City. Joel's experience as a strategist with a proven record of winning is exactly the partner these teams can count on to further growth for the long-term."
