WNNX (99X)/Atlanta PD/Afternoons Axel Lowe Resigns

Longtime WNNX (99X)/Atlanta Program Director and afternoon personality Axel Lowe resigns, effective Friday, March 31 to accept an new opportunity. He first joined 99X when the Alternative format launched in 1992. Lowe then transitioned to sister Rock 100.5 in 2007. After almost 23 years in Atlanta, he moved to Cincinnati in late 2014, where he was named PD/afternoons for co-owned Cumulus Rock WFTK (96 Rock)/Cincinnati in 2014. Lowe returned to Rock 100.1 in 2019 and assisted in the relaunch of 99X as Classic Alternative last December.

"Difficult decision, but I have an amazing opportunity on the horizon that I couldn't pass up," said Lowe.
