LMN Interview Part of Gracie Interview Series

On Thursday, May 11, the Alliance for Women in Media will present the next installment of their interview series highlighting women leaders in media, featuring Gracies and Peabody award-winning journalist Maria Elena Salinas with Latino Media Network (LMN) Founders Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto. The interview will discuss their historic purchase of 18 stations across the nation and discuss some of the challenges they encountered along the way. The interview can be seen on the AWM YouTube Channel and website.
Valencia and Morales-Rocketto shed light on their successful journey in landing one of the largest single acquisitions of radio stations as a Latina-owned and -led media company and discuss the power that radio still wields in the US Hispanic community.
The series continues the Alliance for Women in Media's mission to advance women in media, The Gracie Interview Series sheds light on the heart of LMN's mission to inspire, inform and celebrate Latinos through their audio-focused multimedia network. By telling authentic Latino stories, addressing community concerns, and exploring opportunities for a brighter future, LMN strives to foster cultural pride and put women at the forefront of the media industry.
The Latino Media Network consists of 18 radio stations in ten markets, including Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, McAllen, Fresno and Las Vegas and the purchase is considered the largest single transaction of radio stations in history.
