Pio Ferro Joins Meruelo Media/Los Angeles as SVP/P&C

Meruelo Media/Los Angeles names 30-year veteran programmer Pio Ferro as its new Senior VP of Programming and Content, effective May 13. Ferro joins the company from MediaCo in New York, where served as SVP/P for WQHT (Hot 97) and WBLS. Previously, Ferro was PD for WPOW (Power 96), Country WKIS-FM and Sports WQAM-AM//Miami. He joined Beasley's WPOW in November, 2012, after serving as PD for KMVK (Mega 107.5)/Dallas and VP/Spanish Programming for CBS Radio beginning in December, 2009. He began his radio career at WXDJ-FM/Miami before programming Spanish CHR KLVE-FM/Los Angeles.

At Meruelo, Ferro will oversee programming operations and manage digital content for KPWR (Power 106), KLLI (Cali 93.9), KLOS-FM, KDAY, and KWHY-TV.
