The Los Angeles Kings ink a new multi-year broadcast partnership with Good Karma Brands' KSPN-AM (ESPN Los Angeles 710), bringing the team back to radio. This deal will feature select games on the Sports outlet throughout the season, with all games accessible via the ESPN LA app. This arrangement reestablishes the Kings' presence on ESPN Radio, where they previously broadcasted from 2002 to 2006. Since 2018, Kings' games had been available exclusively on the iHeartRadio Audio Network.
The collaboration will kick off with the Kings' 2024 preseason schedule in September. ESPN Los Angeles 710, which also broadcasts Lakers, Rams, and LAFC games, will air about 25 of the upcoming season's games. Additionally, the ESPN LA app will provide access to Kings podcasts and other audio content related to the club.
Kings President and Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille said, "We're excited to re-engage our dedicated fan base and attract new listeners. Working with ESPN Radio 710's talented on-air team and leaders will further enhance our broadcasts."
Robitaille also acknowledged the previous collaboration with iHeartRadio, stating, "We appreciate the past partnership and wish them continued success."
Good Karma Brands VP Sam Pines noted, "Our collaboration with the LA Kings will enhance the live broadcast experience, offering all games on the new ESPN LA App and extended coverage throughout the year. This partnership not only excites our listeners but also offers unique promotional opportunities for our partners."
